Document your AI inputs
Why this matters
Every file you upload to an AI tool becomes part of your chain of title. Documenting inputs now saves time later when festivals, insurers, or distributors ask for proof.
What to do
Before uploading any asset to an AI tool, log it in your Input Ledger. Takes about 30 seconds per file and keeps everything organized.
Quick check before uploading
Pro tip: Log each input BEFORE uploading to any AI tool. It's much harder to reconstruct this information after the fact.
Write down every AI tool you used or plan to use
- •Video generation (Runway, Pika, Kling)
- •Image generation (Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion)
- •Voice synthesis or cloning (ElevenLabs, Murf)
- •Script assistance (ChatGPT, Claude)
- •Color grading (Colourlab AI)
- •VFX and compositing (Wonder Studio)
Do I need all 8 steps?
Steps 6 is only needed if you use likeness/voice cloning. Most films complete in 6-7 steps.
Can my team help?
Yes! Pro accounts include 3 collaborator seats for your producer, editor, or legal team.
Is this enough for E&O?
This packet gives insurers what they need. Always consult your broker for specific requirements.
